Columbus Clippers Golf Ball Sculpture

The 2013 PGA Presidents Cup golf tournament was held in Dublin, Ohio and for part of the sponsorship for the tournament, businesses purchased large golf ball sculptures that they then commissioned artists to paint. After the sculptures were completed they would be displayed around Dublin before and during the tournament. The Columbus Clippers baseball club, our AAA baseball franchise in Columbus, asked us to paint their ball for them. It was a great opportunity to get my students involved in a large scale painting project that would be on public display for many living and visiting Dublin.
